Transcripts
Transcripts
A transcript is an official document outlining a student’s academic record. It contains a summary of academic activities at the University of Toronto, including a listing of all courses and grades received. The official transcript is certified by the University registrar, bearing the University Registrar’s signature. The University of Toronto produces its official transcript in an electronic (eTranscript) format. If an exceptional circumstance requires a paper transcript, the student must provide a valid reason (e.g., visa application) and submit supporting documentation (eg., letter) to support why a paper transcript is necessary. Further information on ordering a paper transcript can be found on the University Registrar’s Office website: https://registrar.utoronto.ca/transcripts/
Current students and alumni with a UTORid should use ACORN to order a transcript. Alumni without a UTORid and Third parties (e.g., sponsors, employers) who require a copy of a student’s official transcript, can order an eTranscript through the U of T Parchment Storefront.
Under certain circumstances, an administrative and/or financial hold may be placed on a student’s academic record. Should this occur, the transcript would not be issued.
Confirmation of Degree and Third Party Credential Validation
The University of Toronto offers a degree confirmation service for prospective employers and other educational institutions to verify the credentials of University of Toronto graduates. This minimizes the risk of credential fraud and protects our graduates from the illicit use of their designations by others. Further information is available on the 3rd Party Credential Validation website: https://degreeconfirmation.utoronto.ca/
